Shchelokov Vyacheslav Ivanovich
(1904 - 1975)
was a soviet composer, one of the most famous performers and authors of works for trumpet. Professor, later director of the Ural State Conservatory. 

He is the author of music for more than twenty performances. He composed 10 concertos for trumpet and orchestra, and many small pieces for his favorite instrument, from children's to virtuoso. The composer's works have become an ABC for beginners, and the notes for Shchelokov's trumpet appear again and again in the repertoire of beginners and professional musicians.

A large number of technical and training works composed by Shchelokov were combined into the collection "School (trumpeter's reader)", which was released after the death of the composer.

 Vyacheslav Ivanovich also wrote music for other instruments: "Sonata" (clarinet), "Poem" (cello), "Prelude", and "Singing and dancing" for violin only emphasize the broad creative horizons of the composer.
